Sunlight-readable contrast, 44-point touch targets, and layouts that work with wet hands. If a coach can't read it at noon in lane 4, it doesn't ship.
Offline is the normal case.
Pool decks don't have signal. Everything runs on the device and syncs when a connection comes back — no feature on the deck ever waits on a network.
Honest numbers.
Predictions are labeled ESTIMATE and show their factors. Thin history gets a low-data flag instead of a confident guess. There are zero spinners, and zero invented stats — on the deck or on this site.
Built in the open.
The code, the changelog — with its two-letter dev/design versions — and every decision live on GitHub. Real coach feedback has already removed a feature.
